Frequently asked questions
Building your resume
Do I need design skills?+
None. Pick a template, fill in the guided wizard, and the design takes care of itself. Spacing, typography, and layout are locked to professional standards.
Can I switch templates after I've started?+
Anytime, even after publishing. Your content is stored separately from the design, so switching is instant and lossless.
Can I add a photo?+
Yes. Photo-friendly templates (like Canvas, Bold Slate, Chronica, and Marquee) display it beautifully, and you control visibility: web only, web + PDF, or hidden. For US applications we generally recommend no photo; templates without photo slots follow that best practice.
US Letter or A4?+
Both. Toggle the paper size in the editor and both the preview and the PDF follow.
Is this for resumes or CVs?+
Both. They're the same document under different names. For European and UK applications, switch the paper size to A4, add a photo if your market expects one, and include the sections you need. Everything else works identically.
AI polishing
What does “Polish with AI” actually do?+
It rewrites the text you wrote: tightening wording, strengthening verbs, and foregrounding your metrics. It never invents employers, dates, numbers, or achievements.
What's the difference between included revisions and credits?+
Each resume includes 2 revisions per section using Gemini Flash. Credit packs ($10 for 25) use Gemini Pro, our highest quality, and work across all your resumes.
Sharing & hosting
What does my public link look like?+
yourdomain/resumes/your-name. If someone already claimed your name, you choose a tiebreaker: the last 4 digits of your phone, or your state and city.
How long does my link stay live?+
As long as you want it to. Hosting is included with the one-time purchase. There's no subscription and nothing to renew, and you can pause or delete the link anytime from settings.
Is my resume indexed by Google?+
Your public page is a normal web page, so it can be found. Don't publish anything you wouldn't want public, and remember you can pause the link anytime.
